  1. Growing up, one of few computer games my family played was about traveling on the Oregon Trail. I loved to figure the way west. I cannot wait to read your book.

  3. My private special needs school sophomore class has the Oregon Trail as part of their curriculum. I work with the students on this subject, I would love a chance to receive this book. Thanks very much.

  4. No matter where you are, or who you are, please note that Oregon Trail stories are lopsided, misrepresenting what was going on with respect to Native peoples and their lands.

No matter what book you use, you're doing a disservice to your students if you do not correct that misrepresentation.

    1. That's always a major consideration when presenting stories from history. Students must think about who is telling the story and why, as well as whose stories are being left out. For those who don't know, Debbie is a great resource in that area.
