As a dog owner, I often wonder what goes through their minds. What do they think about? What are they dreaming of when they curl up for a nap?
In this delightful story, readers find out the answers - at least for Brina and her friends. Brina imagines that she would go to school, even doing homework in the evenings. Her friends imagine themselves working in an office (complete with hands-free phone headset), becoming a cook, or starring in movies. The illustrations show each of the friends in their imagined human roles - giving presentations, chopping vegetables, or taking selfies with fans on the red carpet. But as they reach the end of the day, they realize that perhaps a dog's life is best.
A fun read for the parents and youngsters, If I Were Human offers a dogs-eye view of human activities and contrasts it with the simple pleasures of naps, treats, and belly rubs. Which life would you prefer?
